In this article, I want to tell you, from a personal and authentic perspective, how the process of creating Eternal Estate, our new capsule inspired by the eternal summers we experience on the coasts of Mexico, unfolded.
Those seasons where the weather is warm and delightful, the sunsets look hand-painted, and life feels lighter... as if time stood still and everything was an infinite summer.
The feeling that started it all
I wanted to design a collection that captured that exact feeling that overtakes me every time I'm on a Mexican beach:
freedom, the softness of long days, that lightness where you enjoy without overthinking and everything flows... where the only thing pending is to be present.
The challenge: creating something totally new
This capsule was especially challenging because, for the first time, we worked directly with knitwear, developing each garment from scratch.
There were so many ideas, so much excitement, and so much creative revolution in my head that I needed to organize all those feelings and give them structure. And, as always, I achieved it thanks to a team of experts who helped me turn inspiration into something tangible.
Back to the source: a conscious trip to the coast
The process began with a trip to the coasts of Jalisco. I needed to return to the place that always ignites my creativity. There, with calm and awareness, I allowed myself to feel everything:
the weather, the people, the food, the colors, the rhythm.
As I experienced those moments, I wrote in my journal everything they awakened in me. I took photos that accompanied those emotions, and with both, I put together a mood board that would be the basis of the collection.
From mood board to design
With the mood board ready and completely clear on the textures I was looking for —lightness, fluidity, and that feeling of freedom— we began to design.
That's when another challenging part began:
fabric tests in the workshop, color mixes (which changed many times), and the search for the exact shade and texture I wanted.
When we finally found the perfect textiles, we moved on to defining the silhouettes. Always with three priorities:
comfort, lightness, and fluidity.
The magic of the first samples
When the first samples began to arrive, I felt that indescribable emotion that always reminds me why I love to create.
It's my favorite part: seeing how an idea begins to transform into reality.
The excitement of seeing color, shape, and texture come to life.
And something very special:
there were almost no changes. We were so clear from the beginning that the modifications were minimal: a few centimeters up or down, a small adjustment in the fit... nothing more.
At the same time, we began selecting notions. And here's the thing: what a beautiful challenge.
I had before me a multitude of spectacular buttons, all different, all divine. It was difficult to choose — but it was definitely a "happy problem."
From paper to reality
With the notions defined and the final details approved, we sent everything to production.
And then that magic I love so much happened: seeing the finished garments arrive.
Each silhouette represented exactly what I was looking for:
comfort, beauty, freshness, elegance... and that Mexican summer feeling that isn't explained, it's felt.
The perfect closing: the shooting
To conclude with a flourish, we needed a place that matched that energy.
In less than 24 hours, we organized the shooting in Puerto Escondido, a destination that breathes freedom and happiness.
The result was even better than I imagined. The garments spoke for themselves.
What I am always grateful for
Each capsule is a reminder of how fortunate I am to have an incredible team and the guidance of experts who make what I imagine possible.
Today I am deeply happy with the final result.
